Dr. Sasika was graduated in Sri Lanka in 2015. She had worked in General Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Neurosurgery and Emergency and Accident services for 5 years in Sri Lanka before moving to Tasmania in November 2020 with her husband, Chamara, and son, Sadew.

She worked as a Registrar in General Medicine in Mersey Community Hospital before she moved to GP in January 2023.

Her main interests are in General Medicine, Women’s health, Geriatric Medicine (Elderly Medicine), Men's health, and Mental health.



Dr. Sasika has found Latrobe to be a very scenic, quiet, and a place with friendly people. She has settled in Latrobe and wishes to continue consulting from Latrobe Family Medical Practice as a rural GP.

She enjoys family time, travelling, traditional and western dancing, and watching movies during her spare time.
